Lance Truscott Morrison is a law enforcement officer in California. After retiring as a Police Captain in Newark, Ca, he continued his career as a Deputy Sheriff--a position he holds today. He has commanded SWAT Teams, as well as a state drug task force. He is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy at Quantico, Virginia. What does this have to do with music?!?

Lance is a life-long musician. He actually has a vegetarian music web site at www.vegantunes.com too! You see, like many musicians, Lance balances socially liberal philosophies with conservative judicial and national defense views. He has had it with people who support the soldiers in a sometimes dubious fashion. (First it was 'Support the Troops, Not the Mission,' and now its 'Support the Troops, Just Not the General We Put in Charge.' )  In Blaming America First! Lance takes on those who talked down success in the Iraq War. In The Socialist Dance, he addresses our awful march toward a European model.While respecting liberal thinking, he chose to generate some tracks that reflected his own. Lance wrote all of the music, played all of the instruments, and recording it at home! No computers on this album. This isn't a slick L.A. studio production--it is homemade and heartfelt--for you.

Most of all, this music addresses the 'New Socialism' in America today. This administration literally bought General Motors, forced out the management, and gave it to the auto worker's union (all on our dime). He took our 785 billion dollars and handed that money to the unions as a 'stimulus.' Who do  you think will benefit when government-run health care is set in stone? How many hospitals will need constant, ever-present renovation? Who will get government health care jobs?

FORCED HEALTH CARE EXPLAINED: Everyone says the Dems are out for power or control through use of health care. I don't think so. From Rush-to-Hannity, and Beck-to-Morris, the real reason is simply mis-identified. It isn't just 'power.' It is really this simple: Once a crummy health care system is foisted upon the public, folks will of necessity rely on the very government that failed them to solve the built-in dysfunction and inadeqacies. The Dem response? No matter what conservatives propose to fix the health care system on a year-to-year basis, the Dems will simply scream, "Its not enough!" They will simply outbid, up the ante, or increase funding over ANYTHING conservatives offer. They will claim the moral imperative by simply using our money to 'offer more.' They will have created dependents, and average Americans will be relegated to supporting those who appear to be 'helping' them the most--and whose money is being used will be long forgotten.

Lance wrote and played this music because no one else seems to using that medium to address conservative ideas as far as national protection. The bias in media is so strong that most people don't realize:

* It was NOT Dick Cheney who released Valerie Plame's name--nor was it Scooter Libby. It was liberal state department employee Dick Armitage. The media rooted for it to be the two former, and when it turned out to be the latter, the story went away. Did you hear anyone demanding he be prosecuted? Armitage wasn't even charged!

* WMD??? All of this moral outrage seems so silly when one recalls (and the media has amnesia) Bill Clinton fired missiles into Iraq a few days before his impeachment hearing for...you got it, Saddam's 'WMD.' That NEVER gets mentioned in the media--ever. One 'Blaming America First,' you hear Clinton's speech outlining the grave threat from Saddam's WMD. Hillarious!

* In what other war did the leader of the Senate, as did Harry Reid, declare a war (now won) lost? It was the most disgusting and treasonous act in my lifetime--and he is STILL in office. Harry Reid is the best friend Al Qaeda ever, ever had.

* Why are all military critics liberal? Murtha calls them 'cold blooded murderers!' Kerry said they 'raided villages in the dead of night.' When Move-On.org presented their General Betray Us ad, the new York Times gave them a discount,and Obama, and so many others refused to condemn the ad in a senate resolution.   

* After all the carping on eavesdropping and data mining, Obama is using both!

Hollywood and music recording labels have given us plenty of music that glorifies drugs, murder, and the corrosion of our culture. These CD's stand in clear contrast to that stuff. Lance has always considered and interpreted the left wing political comentary in music, and this is simply his take. Blaming America First! and The Socialist Dance actually represent some hard to find diversity in the music industry--there is really nothing like it. Lance simply hopes that listeners will find his music sincere, if not compelling.
